It’s been a while since our last update, but it’s not due to a lack of activity! A lot of hard work is starting to pay off as we make the final preparations on our debut EP.  In fact, we just finished mixing the album this past week and it’s turning out just as we had hoped.  Sneak peaks will be online as soon as the final masters are complete.

In mixing and producing our EP, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Jeff Stuart Saltzman (whose past credits include Stephen Malkmus, Sleater-Kinney, Death Cab For Cutie, Menomena, and Richmond Fontaine).  When mixing a song, or at least listening to mixes of songs, there are a few factors to consider, such as the mood of the song, lyrics, and what instruments or sounds are most important. However, more basic than that is trying to get each instrument into it’s own sonic space. Next stop is mastering!  Then it’s on to duplication.
